Orlando Regional HealthCare System
These are dated banners, but I still remember the fun I had creating these for Orlando Regional. In 1998, (just shows you how long I've been doing stuff for the Web!) ORHS was a sponsor of the USA Triathlon National Championships, and requested four promotional banners to be used in an awareness campaign.

Rasmussen College Online
As part of the design of Rasmussen College's Online home page, I created templated banners promoting support services and calls-to-action, using their copy. I supplied the original Photshop file so Rasmussen could reuse the templates to create additional banners at their leisure. The graphical icons were stock illustrations.
When appropriate, I use stock illustrations and/or photography to save the client time and money, and supply original assets for their extended use if requested. I empower clients to continue the publishing process if they wish—I never withhold assets to keep a client hostage.
MVCI Gets Wet!
While working at Marriott Vacation Club as Senior Web Designer, I had the opportunity to execute a variety of fun Flash banners for the Rentals division. The banners were part of a larger media buy with Yahoo! and AOL, and each platform had its own strict guidelines for file weight, dimensions and clickability.
This particular banner was for a marketing package offer that included 3 days/4 nights at Marriott's Grande Vista resort in Orlando and SeaWorld® tickets. SeaWorld's ever-present icon, Shamu, was a given as the main element. I wrote the copy and created the concept of Shamu's graceful jump and splash revealing the offer. The entire ad was clickable.
Go Faldo Meets Go Magic, Orlando Style
When Marriott redeveloped the newly-named Grande Pines Golf Club, they partnered with the Faldo Golf Institute® by Marriott located adjacent Marriott's Grande Vista in Orlando for a campaign targeted to sports enthusiasts. The coupons were for instruction and golf at Faldo or a round at Grande Pines. As part of the campaign, MVCI purchased ad space on the Orlando Magic's website.
Typically I follow a brand's established guidelines, however I deviated with this particular banner to sculpt it in the flavor of the Orlando Magic's website. Using the varied blues and stars with lots of movement and build, the banner seamlessly dropped into the Magic's established look and feel.
MVCI Vacation Villa Rentals
Marriott Vacation Club Vacation Villa Rentals advertising campaigns kept me quite busy. For each banner ad, I kept the overall design and copy and reworked the layout for each of the five-to-seven different size versions. That in itself created a design challenge, as a square ad didn't always translate into a skyscraper or banner ad, as seen in the SeaWorld example. Orlando, Park City, Lake Tahoe and Hilton Head Island were popular destinations that were marketed heavily.
AOL and Yahoo! file restrictions were always a challenge, which is why I stayed with simple vector graphics in most cases. Fortunately, the OceanWatch Villas banner placement had more wiggle room and I was able to use a raster image of a sand dollar, which tied into the branding MVCI was doing on the print side.
