MSL 206 - Starting in the Face of Strong Resistance

Boy did I have a hard time getting this episode recorded! Talk about resistance! But I did it and it’s a shorty but goody. Here’s an easy three-step process to blast through any resistance keeping you from starting a new business, project, or any endeavor you want to accomplish.

Prompt

  1. Assess: Take a knee and assess what your goal is, that thing you want to start, what it is and why you want to accomplish it.

  2. Identify: Notice where and what type of resistance you’re having. Is it complaining? Excuses? Procrastination? Fear? Anxiety and worry? Get clear about the type of resistance getting in the way.

  3. Choose: Now that you have a clear idea on what you want, the nature of the resistance that’s keeping you from starting, you can make a choice. Either it’s not the right timing and you need to shelve it for a few months until you feel more ready, or you just bite the stick and do it despite the fears, anxiety, and justifications keeping you from moving forward.

It’s a great way to shift your mindset and empower yourself to get stuff done! Now go do it!
