To avoid being commoditized on price, I read Pia’s Badass Your Brand and created products out of my services and stopped creating in-depth proposals for free. This transformed my business and I’m forever grateful to her for this wonderful insight. I share the story of what I did in my business and how it can work for you in your solopreneur business.

Take a look at your services, whether you’re a coach, a consultant, a trainer, whatever, and break them down into a logical, linear fashion. What is typically the first service you provide? Can you create a “curriculum” or ongoing series of services that help your client achieve bigger goals? Take those services—especially the proposal effort—and make “packages” of them. Set a price and create a model that demonstrates how you can be a turnkey provider for those clients.
