MSL 108 - How My Business Model Better3 Came to Be

Sometimes it takes a few years to really dial in your brand, your model, your products, and how you position your solopreneur business. Here, I talk about how I evolved my business to reflect a model driven by a consistent repetition of problems and challenges facing my early clients. Better3 arose from a consistent experience working with my clients and seeing a repeated pattern of gaps. These gaps enabled me to isolate a model of services that drove results so I could evolve my positioning from a “work for hire freelancer by the hour” to a true consultant with real world solutions that clients want, but may not know how to articulate.

Episode prompt

Where in your business can you flesh out a model based on repeated patterns you experience working with your clients? How can you create an “approach” or “model” that will help distinguish you in the marketplace, remove commoditization (prospects shopping you solely on price), and focus on results-based offerings?
